The Team You'll Join

Our B2C Commercial Finance team supports Future's revenue-generating units, specifically media ads revenue and licensing across iconic global brands. Based in Bath or London on a hybrid basis (2–3 days per week), we maintain financial reporting integrity, accurate forecasting, and insightful commercial analysis. We build long-lasting partner relationships, proactively evaluate growth opportunities, and streamline operational processes using advanced financial models. You'll join a collaborative group that translates raw data into actionable insights to guide commercial strategy.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager in Bath, you'll act as a key commercial finance partner supporting Future's Media functions. You'll bridge the gap between complex datasets and commercial insights to give Media and Finance teams a clear view of trading performance. In this role, you'll develop automated financial models and evaluate commercial scenarios to help guide revenue growth.

On a daily basis, you'll use tools like Salesforce, Looker, Operative One, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI. You'll analyse weekly and monthly revenue streams, support budget forecasting cycles, and track strategic non-BAU initiatives. Additionally, you'll work with Commercial Systems and BI teams to refine reporting workflows and optimize margin insights.

• Act as a trusted commercial finance partner to Media functions, delivering weekly and monthly revenue analysis.
• Develop semi- or fully-automated financial models to evaluate trading performance, revenue streams, and margin trends.
• Support forecasting and budget cycles by building consolidated views across revenue types, verticals, and quarters.
• Calculate and model financial exposure for different commercial scenarios and strategic growth initiatives.
• Partner with Commercial Systems and BI teams to leverage Salesforce, Looker, and Operative One for combined analytics.
• Identify process improvements to streamline reporting, reduce manual data entry, and enhance data clarity.

What you’ll bring

• Demonstrable experience in commercial finance, data modelling, or financial analysis within a commercial environment.
• Part-qualification or active progress toward an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in data modelling using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or equivalent analytics software.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to present clear analysis and build relationships across teams.
• Ability to bring clarity to complex datasets and evaluate commercial assumptions.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on process automation and continuous reporting improvements.

Minimum Requirements

• Commercial finance experience or background analysing revenue, margin, or complex commercial datasets.
• Experience building financial models or working with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Looker, or Power BI.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders from our Bath or London offices on a hybrid basis (2–3 days per week).
• Practical understanding of financial forecasting, budget modelling, or month-end analysis.

The expected range for this role is £34,000 - £42,000

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days per week from our Bath Office
