About the role :
This role captures being recognized as a master in their discipline and responsible for integrating both new and existing processes align with the organization’s strategic goals. Responsibilities involves addressing undefined and-complex problems that require extensive information gathering and innovative solutions. Frequent communication with senior personnel both internally and externally, including customers and vendors. Colleague will lead initiatives, drive change, and shape objectives within their area of responsibility. This role requires mastery-level knowledge in a specialized field, typically supported by advanced education and substantial experience, with potential expertise in project management.
Your key responsibilities
You will participate in the delivery of card migration programmes as a co-lead owning the end-to-end requirements and solution design or act as a business subject matter owning the requirements and solution design within your functional area of expertise in the payments cards domain. As a co-lead you will work closely with clients and senior stakeholders to shape efficiently best-practice outcomes and ensure strong governance throughout while negotiating with the intention of achieving the best suited solution approach for clients and FIS. Acting as a bridge between business and technology, you will guide teams, remove obstacles, and ensure solutions are clearly defined, validated, and successfully implemented.
- Participate in large and complex client engagement to lead and own various requirements elicitation sessions.
- Act as a Business SME providing product consultancy support to clients and educate clients on system features and functionality where required.
- Act as a Requirements Lead having overall accountability and responsibility for the requirements phase of the project.
- Consult on best practice solutions for meeting the needs and improving efficiency and effectiveness of the client's future state.
- Own development requirements matrix, manage feasibility review with product and technology teams, and obtain client sign-off of the agreed development scope.
- Work with product and technology teams to obtain high-level development approaches and effort estimates for identified gaps.
- Manage expectations and needs of clients during the requirements cycle regarding the functionality of the solution and making recommendations about the usage where appropriate.
- Manage in a matrix management manner a team of senior or lead Architects for assigned projects and be responsible for assigning, directing and monitoring the work.
- Provide direction on gaps, complex decisions, integrations, and proposed solutions to senior and lead Architects.
- Plan requirement workstream resourcing, mentor Senior Architects, resolve escalations, and reallocate work when required.
- Work with senior stakeholders within FIS and Client organisations and build and maintain strong relationships and ensure proper governance and management is in place.
- Help defining standards and advise on best practices.
- Facilitate discussions that minimize unnecessary development while meeting client requirements.
- Participate in Migration Strategy and Data Mapping activities, explaining agreed configurations and non-development workarounds.
- Identify and document migration impacts arising from functional requirements and proposed solutions.
- Identify, escalate, and monitor project risks with Programme/Project Management.
- Maintain control and governance over the agreed timeline of all discovery related deliverables.Own cross-workstream coordination, including communicating impacts among functional, technical, migration, infrastructure, and programme teams.
- Safeguard the agreed Discovery and change-management processes, avoiding ad-hoc requests that introduce unmanaged risk or overhead.
What you bring:
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years relevant experience in business requirements analysis, gathering, documentation and validation for software projects.
- Experience in the Card Payments industry.
- Experience in requirement matrix management, leading and managing a group of Architects
- Experience in a client advisory/consultancy role in an IT environment.
- Conversant with Productivity tools like MSWord/Google Docs, MS Excel/Google Sheets, MS PowerPoint/Google Slides, MS Visio/Lucid Charts.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to interact with both Business and IT partners to define, understand and evaluate business requirements
- Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
- Flexibility to travel to client premises
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Domain with business analysis certification will be an add-on.
Added bonus if you have:
- Understanding of data structures
- Previous experience in FIS PRIME card management systems or similar card management systems.
- Experience in large scale projects, such as a portfolio conversion of a product launch.
- Professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs.
- Professional experience demonstrating transferable skills for business analysis.
- Working towards or in possession of a business analysis professional qualification e.g. IIBA or BCS).
- Experience with the use of common AI tools.
