Role Summary

As a Senior Business Analyst within the Financial Markets & Group Treasury (FMGT) domain, you will play a key role in translating complex business activities into accurate financial accounting records and reporting solutions.

You will act as a trusted Finance representative and key point of contact across end-to-end change initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineers, and finance teams. Your focus will be on analyzing impacts, defining requirements, designing solutions, supporting implementation, and ensuring that financial accounting processes remain compliant, efficient, and future-ready.

About the Team

You'll join the Tribe Financial Accounting, a multidisciplinary team of business analysts, engineers, and product owners responsible for supporting Financial Markets and Group Treasury initiatives. The team works across global Wholesale Banking activities, helping onboard new portfolios, improve finance processes, support regulatory requirements, and enhance reporting capabilities.

Working in an Agile environment, you'll collaborate with international stakeholders and gain exposure to the full front-to-back banking value chain.

What You'll Be Doing

• Translate business requirements into finance and accounting solutions.
• Act as the Finance point of contact for complex end-to-end change initiatives.
• Perform impact assessments, business analysis, and functional design activities.
• Support backlog management by converting business needs into features and user stories.
• Analyze data flows, identify data quality issues, and recommend improvements.
• Partner with technology teams to implement finance-related solutions.
• Execute and support functional, user acceptance, and migration testing activities.
• Maintain accounting controls and minimum accounting standards.
• Provide functional support and oversee the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial accounting processes and reporting.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives involving Financial Markets and Group Treasury products.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience within banking or financial services.
• Strong Business Analysis experience within Finance, Accounting, Treasury, or Financial Markets domains.
• Knowledge of Wholesale Banking products and accounting concepts.
• Understanding of Financial Markets products, including areas such as FX, Money Markets, Securities, Repos, and Swaps.
• Experience performing impact analysis, requirements gathering, and functional design.
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques.
• Experience supporting testing activities including Functional, User Acceptance, and Migration Testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with local and international stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Hedge Accounting.
• Experience working with platforms such as Murex, Summit, Sophis, or Calypso.
• Background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business IT, or a related discipline.
