THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to help shape the strategic transformation of our Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) and Market Conduct & Trade Surveillance (MCTS) capabilities within Legal & Compliance.

Working at the intersection of compliance, business, technology, architecture and data, you will shape strategic target states, assess current capabilities and translate business and control objectives into prioritised transformation roadmaps and actionable requirements. You will facilitate complex cross-functional decisions and provide clear recommendations to senior management.

You will act as the senior business-analysis and transformation lead for selected FCC and MCTS initiatives, shaping target states and roadmaps while working in close partnership with Compliance, Technology, Architecture, Data and Programme Management.

YOUR CAPCO DAY

• Lead the business definition of strategic target states, facilitating alignment across Compliance, Technology, Architecture and Data and ensuring that agreed target states are translated into actionable transformation plans.
• Assess current capabilities and conduct gap analyses across processes, organisation, systems, architecture, data quality and governance, translating findings into prioritised transformation measures and investment considerations.
• Define business and technology requirements and develop relevant use cases and options, including opportunities to improve data quality, reduce false positives, automate and scale alert handling, and strengthen monitoring and surveillance processes.
• Translate target states into structured multi-year transformation roadmaps, defining priorities, milestones, dependencies, sequencing, responsibilities, investment considerations and key trade-offs across risk reduction, regulatory need, business value and delivery feasibility. Facilitate cross-functional decision-making across business, technology and control functions, frame key options and trade-offs, and prepare concise recommendations and decision materials for senior management. Define measurable transformation outcomes and success criteria, such as improved control effectiveness, reduced manual effort and false positives, better data quality and lineage, increased automation, and improved operational scalability.
• Ensure traceability from regulatory, policy and control objectives through business requirements, solution design and implementation outcomes.

YOUR CAPCO FIT

• Demonstrated Financial Crime Compliance expertise combined with project and ideally consulting experience in the design and digital transformation of FCC solutions within a comparable financial-services environment.
• Strong ability to work across business architecture, solution/enterprise architecture and data disciplines, translating business and control requirements into architectural, process and data implications.” Strong expertise in Financial Crime Compliance, with deep experience in one or more core domains such as AML/CTF, sanctions or PEP screening, and sufficient breadth to work effectively across adjacent FCC areas including tax compliance.Proven change and organisational capabilities, particularly stakeholder management and facilitation, Target Operating Model definition and the preparation of decision materials for senior management.
• Strong conceptual and analytical capabilities, with experience translating strategic target states into prioritised multi-year roadmaps and implementation plans within complex transformation environments.
• Fluent English and German are a must for this role. 

BONUS POINTS FOR

• Experience within Market Conduct, Trade Surveillance or comparable monitoring and surveillance environments; deep MCTS expertise is advantageous but not required where the candidate brings strong transferable FCC transformation experience.
• Experience developing strategic concepts spanning Financial Crime Compliance, Legal & Compliance and wider banking transformation.
• Familiarity with surveillance challenges such as false-positive reduction, alert management, data quality and the integration of relevant communications and market information.
• Experience assessing investment requirements and prioritising transformation initiatives across three-to-five-year roadmaps.
• Experience coordinating transformation plans with wider enterprise architecture, technology or bank-wide strategic programmes.
