Analyst – Data Analytics & Visualization

Job Location - Pune

We are seeking a Analyst – Data Analytics & Visualization to transform complex data and business questions into actionable insights, intuitive analytics products, and compelling visual stories that enable better decision-making.

This role will partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, and Operations to understand business priorities, define meaningful KPIs, analyze performance, and design high-quality dashboards and analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong data analytics and visualization expertise with business acumen, curiosity, and effective storytelling skills. The individual should be equally comfortable working with complex datasets, developing sophisticated Power BI/Tableau solutions, identifying business insights, and communicating recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Data Visualization & Business Intelligence

·       Design and maintain interactive dashboards, scorecards, and analytics solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

·       Apply visualization, UX, and data storytelling best practices to translate complex data into intuitive, executive-ready insights.

·       Develop effective KPIs, drill-downs, filters, and visual interactions that support business decision-making.

·       Optimize dashboards and data models for performance, scalability, usability, and consistency.

Data Analytics & Insights

·       Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and anomalies.

·       Use SQL and Python/R for data extraction, transformation, analysis, validation, and automation.

·       Translate analytical findings into clear business insights, narratives, and actionable recommendations.

·       Convert recurring analysis into scalable dashboards, automated reporting, and self-service analytics.

Business Partnership & Requirements

·       Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into analytics, KPI, and visualization requirements.

·       Define and standardize metrics, calculations, and reporting logic in collaboration with business teams.

·       Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to technical, non-technical, and senior stakeholders.

·       Gather feedback and continuously improve analytics products based on business needs and user adoption.

Data Management & Analytics Enablement

·       Develop and maintain data models, transformations, and analytical datasets supporting BI solutions.

·       Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

·       Support data quality, validation, governance, lineage, and documentation standards.

·       Drive automation, standardization, reusable components, and self-service analytics, while exploring AI-enabled analytics opportunities.

Core Technical Skills

• BI & Visualization: Power BI and/or Tableau, dashboard and scorecard design, KPI development, data storytelling, UX and visualization best practices.
• Data & Analytics: Advanced SQL, Python/R, data analysis, data modeling, transformation, ETL/ELT, validation, and analytical problem-solving.
• Data Platforms: Experience with one or more platforms such as AWS/Redshift, Microsoft Azure/Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or Oracle.
• Data Governance: Data quality, validation, lineage, metadata, metric definitions, testing, version control, and documentation.
• Emerging Analytics: Exposure to Generative AI, AI-enabled BI, natural-language analytics, automation, or advanced analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization
• Advanced hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms, including dashboard and executive reporting development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, data analysis, data modeling, and working with complex datasets.
• Experience with Python/R and modern cloud/data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements and complex data into actionable insights, intuitive visualizations, and compelling data stories.
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, and self-service analytics solutions in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Experience supporting Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Pricing, Market Intelligence, Supply Chain, Operations, or Product Analytics.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or other modern analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Generative AI, AI-enabled BI, predictive analytics, or advanced analytics.
• Relevant certifications in Power BI, Tableau, cloud, or data analytics technologies.
