We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Property Finance team on a 12-month contract, supporting the financial management of ESR's property portfolio.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of a diverse property portfolio, partnering closely with Asset Management and Property teams to deliver accurate reporting, compliance and commercial insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end reporting, including accruals, prepayments, IFRS adjustments and reconciliations.
- Preparation of GL and statutory trust account reconciliations.
- Monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and capital expenditure tracking.
- Managing owner remittances and PM fee forecasting.
- Coordinating annual outgoings reconciliations with Property Managers.
- Supporting audits, compliance and trust accounting requirements.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and drive strong portfolio performance.
Requirements
This role will suit a detail-oriented property finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, a proactive approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- CA/CPA qualification and a relevant tertiary degree, coupled with 3-5 years' experience in commercial property accounting.
- Strong technical accounting capability, including a sound understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to confidently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach, high attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability, integrity and ownership.
- Experience partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver commercial insights and support informed business decision-making.
- Exposure to Yardi Voyager and/or BlackLine (preferred) and confidence using AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve efficiency, accuracy and productivity while maintaining strong data governance and quality standards.
