Public Housing Security Officers – Multiple Roles

MSS Security is seeking professional and reliable Security Officers to join our team across public housing sites throughout Melbourne.

We are recruiting for three separate roles:

Foot Patrol Security Officer

• Conduct regular foot patrols across designated public housing sites.
• Monitor buildings, common areas, entrances, car parks and surrounding grounds.
• Identify and respond to security risks, hazards and suspicious behaviour.
• Assist residents, visitors and stakeholders professionally.
• Report and escalate incidents in accordance with site procedures.

Control Room Operator

• Monitor CCTV, alarms, radios and security systems.
• Receive and assess incident information and requests for assistance.
• Coordinate Foot and Mobile Patrol Officers to incidents.
• Maintain accurate incident records and communications.
• Escalate incidents to management, Police or Emergency Services when required.

Mobile Patrol Operator

• Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc vehicle patrols across designated sites.
• Monitor buildings, car parks, entrances and external areas.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and requests for assistance.
• Identify suspicious activity, property damage and security vulnerabilities.
• Maintain communication with the Control Room and accurately report incidents.

Carlton | Collingwood | Fitzroy | Prahran | South Melbourne | Richmond | North Melbourne | Williamstown | Flemington | Melbourne Surrounding Suburbs

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights.
• Valid Victorian Security Licence.
• First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Full Victorian Driver Licence required for Mobile Patrol Operator.
• Previous security experience highly regarded.
