Dispatch Officer

$21.50 Per Hour  |  Full Time  |  South Florida

Marksman Security is seeking a dependable, alert, and technology-savvy Dispatch / Communications Officer to monitor and coordinate response across our client portfolio from a premier corporate command center. This role calls for sharp attention to detail, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to keeping people and property safe.

Key Responsibilities

• •    Monitor CCTV, alarm, and access control systems from the Security Operations Center / dispatch desk
  •    Dispatch officers and coordinate response to alarms, incidents, or emergencies across client sites
  •    Respond to calls of distress or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or the presence of unauthorized persons by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams
  •    Prepare clear, concise, and accurate incident reports and shift logs
  •    Operate dispatch/monitoring platforms, incident reporting software, and email
  •    Manage multiple simultaneous alerts and radio/telephone communications in a high-pressure environment
  •    Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following:

• Two years of customer service experience AND one year of verifiable security experience

Requirements

• Valid FL Security D License
• Valid FL Driver's License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
• Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
• Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
• Willingness and ability to work across multiple client sites and shifts based on operational need
• Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
