Job Description:

We're looking for a SecDevOps Engineer to own and operate a hybrid on-premises infrastructure environment — spanning virtualization, network security, storage, and containerized services — while helping modernize our operations with automation and AI-assisted tooling. This is a hands-on infrastructure role for someone who thrives at the intersection of systems administration, network security, and DevOps practice.

  What You'll Do:

  - Administer and secure network perimeter infrastructure, including pfSense firewalls
  - Manage and maintain virtualized infrastructure across Proxmox and VMware ESXi environments, including migrations between platforms
  - Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Podman and Docker
  - Build and maintain automation for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible
  - Write and maintain internal tooling and scripts in Python (C++ experience a plus for
    performance-sensitive or lower-level tooling)
  - Diagnose and resolve network issues across switching, routing, and connectivity layers
  - Administer SAN storage solutions and blade server hardware, including remote/out-of-band management
  - Configure and maintain Dell N-series and S-series switches
  - Apply working knowledge of AI/LLM tooling to improve internal workflows, documentation, and operational efficiency
  - Author clear, well-structured documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for infrastructure and processes

  What We're Looking For: 

  - Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field preferred
  - Demonstrated experience with pfSense firewall administration
  - Hands-on experience with Proxmox and/or VMware ESXi virtualization platforms
  - Practical experience with Podman or Docker container platforms
  - Proficiency in Python; familiarity with C++ is a plus
  - Experience with Ansible or comparable configuration management tools
  - Solid network troubleshooting skills across physical and virtual environments
  - Experience with SAN storage solutions and blade server hardware
  - Familiarity with Dell N-series and S-series switches or comparable enterprise switching platforms
  - Working knowledge of AI/LLM tools and their application to operational workflows
  - Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and procedures
