Sobre esta vaga de Seasonal Assistant Teacher na Guidepost Montessori
Seasonal Assistant Teacher (Montessori), Holiday Break Support
$19–$22/hour | Full-time or part-time | Seasonal, with a path to a permanent role
Imagine a classroom where a toddler pours her own water for the first time, a four-year-old proudly finishes a puzzle he’s been working on all week, and every child is trusted to show what they can do. That’s a normal day at Guidepost Montessori, and this holiday season, you could be part of it.
We’re looking for warm, dependable Seasonal Assistant Guides to support our classrooms over the holiday breaks. You might be a college student home for winter break, an experienced caregiver looking for flexible work, or someone who has always wondered what teaching in a Montessori classroom is like. If you love young children and want to grow in a supportive, purpose-driven place, we’d love to meet you.
This could be more than a seasonal job. Many of our team members start out as seasonal or part-time staff and find a long-term career with us. Strong seasonal Assistant Guides may be offered a full-time position.
Your Impact
As an Assistant Guide, you’ll support our Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House (ages 3–6) classrooms. You’ll help create a calm, engaging environment where children explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.
In a Montessori classroom, the environment and the guide work together to support each child’s development. You’ll help prepare beautiful, intentional learning spaces and support children in individual and small-group activities, always with respect, patience, and care.
Most importantly, you’ll help children build confidence and discover what they’re capable of.
What You’ll Do
- Help keep classrooms running smoothly and consistently during the busy holiday break season
- Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs
- Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom
- Support individual and small-group learning activities
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families
- Work alongside Lead Guides and the rest of the team to keep a strong classroom community
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young children (infants through age 6) in a school, childcare, camp, or nanny setting
- A positive, flexible, and team-minded attitude, which matters a lot during the holiday season
- A love for working with young children
- Curiosity about the Montessori approach (Montessori experience is a plus but not required, and we’ll show you the ropes)
- Availability during school holiday breaks
What We Offer
- $19–$22 per hour, based on experience
- Flexible scheduling, with full-time and part-time options
- A path to full-time employment for seasonal team members who are a strong fit
- Hands-on mentorship from experienced Montessori Lead Guides
- A supportive network of peers who value collaboration and shared best practices
- For team members who move into permanent roles: fully sponsored Montessori diploma training through the Prepared Montessorian Institute, a 75% tuition discount for up to two children at any Guidepost school, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off and holidays, and plenty of room to grow your career
