Overview
Reporting into the Head of Atelier, the seamstress will support and work cohesively with the sampling team within our London HQ Design studio. Using a range of sustainable fabrics, the role requires a high level of understanding of patterns, sewing and technical finishing.
Your Mission:
- Work closely with pattern maker to create high end samples and toiles
- Cutting samples in preparation for sewing (fuse fabrics if necessary)
- Make samples on schedule to exact specifications
- Pressing samples, toiles, vintage or archive pieces
- Working on VIP /VIC samples
- Prepare Paris kit before travelling to Paris show room
- Attend fittings when necessary
- Adhoc tasks assigned by manager in line with the requirements of an atelier
- Maintain, repair, or alter garments when requested
- Hand sewing
- Turning on and off the iron in workroom and maintain once a week
- Keep workstation organised
- Order trims when needed for example zips, threads
Your Talent:

· Flexible and have an ability to adapt to the changing demands of a design studio
· Hand sewing skills essential
