About the Role
Accenture is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Functional Consultant / Manager to design, configure, and deliver SAP IS-U solutions supporting core utility business processes. The role partners with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions across customer management, metering, billing, invoicing, and financial operations. The successful candidate will contribute to end-to-end transformation programs that improve operational performance, customer experience, and business value through SAP-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead or support the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP IS-U solutions across utility business processes.
• Configure Business Partner, Contract Account, Contract, Connection Object, Premises, Installation, and Device Management processes.
• Design customer lifecycle processes, including move-in, move-out, device installation, replacement, and removal.
• Configure billing and invoicing functionality, including rate structures, billing schemas, operands, proration, reversals, and print workbench requirements.
• Support meter reading, register management, consumption processing, and integration with AMI/MDUS and related systems.
• Configure SAP FICA processes covering payment posting, clearing, dunning, installment plans, write-offs, reconciliation keys, and financial postings.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Support integration, testing, defect resolution, cutover, go-live, and post-production stabilization.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or any related discipline.
• Minimum 1–2 end-to-end SAP IS-U implementations with involvement across key project phases.
• Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP IS-U across Customer and Device Management, Billing, Metering, or FICA.
• Understanding of the SAP IS-U data model, business processes, and key transactions.
• Experience integrating SAP IS-U with SAP FI, FICA, and external utility systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, client-facing communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
