Sales Manager – Healthcare, Central & Eastern Europe
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Reports to: Country Sales Manager, Central & Eastern Europe
Overview
InterSystems is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to help grow our healthcare business in Central and Eastern Europe.
Based in Prague, you will develop relationships with existing customers and partners while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Your initial focus will be the Czech and Slovak markets, with opportunities to take on selected accounts across the wider region.
This position is suited to someone with sales experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics or healthcare technology who wants to build a career in consultative software sales.
Working closely with the regional Country Sales Manager and technical specialists, you will learn how InterSystems technology helps healthcare organisations connect systems, make better use of data and improve the delivery of care. You will receive product training, mentoring and support as you develop your territory and account responsibilities.
Responsibilities
-
Build and maintain relationships with assigned healthcare customers, identifying opportunities to expand cooperation and address additional needs.
-
Proactively identify, approach and qualify prospective customers through research, direct outreach, networking and industry events.
-
Understand customers’ clinical, operational and business priorities and connect these with relevant InterSystems capabilities.
-
Develop account plans and maintain a balanced pipeline of new business and opportunities within existing accounts.
-
Build relationships with clinical leaders, IT teams, procurement professionals and hospital management.
-
Coordinate customer meetings, presentations and demonstrations with the Sales Manager and technical specialists.

Contribute to proposals, tenders and commercial negotiations, with support from experienced colleagues.

Collaborate with partner organisations to develop opportunities and support customer requirements.
-
Work with Marketing on targeted campaigns, events and customer follow-up.
-
Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity updates and sales forecasts.
-
Travel regularly within the assigned territory and occasionally elsewhere in Central and Eastern Europe.
Experience and qualifications
-
Relevant commercial experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics or healthcare technology; typically 2–5 years, although demonstrated capability matters more than a specific number of years.
-
Evidence of achieving sales objectives, acquiring new customers or expanding existing customer relationships.
-
Experience engaging healthcare professionals and other decision makers, ideally within hospitals or larger healthcare organisations.
-
Excellent command of Czech or Slovak, with the ability to conduct business effectively with customers in both markets.
-
Professional proficiency in English, sufficient to lead business discussions, deliver presentations and prepare written proposals.
-
Strong listening, communication and presentation skills.
-
Ability to understand customer needs and explain the business value of a solution clearly.
-
A proactive, organised approach, with consistent follow-through and a willingness to initiate contact with prospective customers.
-
Curiosity about healthcare technology and motivation to learn about software, data integration and digital transformation.
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with commercial and technical colleagues.
-
University degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
-
Willingness to work from Prague and travel regularly; a valid driving licence.
Experience that would be advantageous
-
Ownership of hospital accounts or a defined sales territory.
-
Exposure to procurement, tenders, negotiations or sales involving multiple stakeholders.
-
Experience selling medical equipment, diagnostics, specialist therapies or other solutions requiring a consultative approach.

Relationships within Czech or Slovak healthcare organisations.

Experience working with distributors, implementation partners or international teams.
-
Familiarity with CRM systems and structured account planning.
