Interested in a career in sales, advertising, or digital marketing? Townsquare Media’s Sales Internship gives college students the opportunity to gain real-world experience while learning how businesses use media and marketing to grow.

As a Sales Intern with our Boise team, you won’t spend your internship sitting on the sidelines. You’ll work alongside experienced sales professionals, learn the fundamentals of consultative selling, and gain exposure to the full sales process—from identifying prospective clients and qualifying opportunities to conducting needs analysis and securing appointments.

You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at how a local media company operates, with exposure to our radio brands, digital marketing solutions, on-air operations, community events, and the teams that bring it all together.

What You’ll Do:

As an intern on our Boise sales team, you’ll gain hands-on experience with the fundamentals that drive successful sales organizations. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Learn how to identify and research prospective local businesses
• Develop prospecting skills through phone, email, and other outreach
• Learn how to qualify potential clients and identify strong sales opportunities
• Practice conducting needs analysis to better understand a business, its goals, and its marketing challenges
• Build confidence communicating with business owners and decision-makers
• Learn how to secure appointments and create opportunities for our sales team
• Shadow experienced Account Executives throughout different stages of the sales process
• Gain exposure to client meetings, sales presentations, and marketing strategy
• Learn how our team uses broadcast, digital, programmatic, and event sponsorship solutions to help local businesses grow
• Develop an understanding of pipeline management, sales activity, and performance goals

You’ll also have opportunities to experience other areas of our Boise operation, including our radio stations, on-air teams, promotions, and off-site events, giving you a broader understanding of how sales connects with the entire organization.

This is a sales-focused internship designed to give you practical experience, meaningful coaching, and a strong foundation in consultative selling.

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for students who are curious, motivated, and excited to learn. You don’t need previous sales experience—we’ll help you build the skills.

• Currently pursuing a college degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field
• Genuine interest in exploring a career in sales
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence starting conversations and willingness to step outside your comfort zone
• Coachable mindset and desire to learn
• Strong work ethic, organization, and follow-through
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Interest in media, digital marketing, advertising, or local business is a plus

• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and vehicle (required)
