Italy is Thales Group’s competence centre for tramway signalling solutions. The activity of SIX domain: mission critical solutions and applications for assets and citizens security (supervision, control and information management systems) as well as cybersecurity. Thales offers solutions to protect the information systems and critical data of its civilian and military customers and helps its customers to detect and prevent cyberattacks by devising secure architectures from the design stage, overseeing these architectures and ensures that they are kept in secure working order. Italy is Thales Group’s competence centre for Airport security and operations management solutions.

1. DUTIES

The Sales Administration Accountant has to ensure the proper management of Customer contracts with the relevant invoicing, cash in and bonding accomplishments.

2. JOB ENVIRONMENT

• Reporting to the Sales Administration Manager operates in strict co-ordination with the CBU Business Control Teams and with the Project Managers;
• Interactions with the Finance’s other professional families
• In Italy (General Accounting; Cost Control & Reporting)
• Within the Group (Sister Companies Finance Teams; Thales Shared Service Center);
• Interactions with banks and insurance companies

3. MAIN ACTIVITIES

In compliance with the group rules and procedures the Sales Administration Accountant:

➢ On daily basis cares the issue of Customer Invoices ensuring that everything is accomplished in time and in good quality;

➢ On daily basis cares the issue of bonds towards Customers (Bid bond, Advance, Performance…) interfacing with banks and insurance companies ensuring that everything is accomplished in time and in good quality;

➢ On weekly basis reconciles cash in with accounts receivables;

➢ During Bid process, give support to the Sales Admin. Mgr. and the Business Control Team in the assessment of contractual terms and conditions with particular attention to the invoicing and payment milestones and process;

➢ In Foreign Bids, give support to the Sales Admin. Mgr. and the Business Control Team in the assessment of the best contractual structure, from a financial and fiscal point of view;

➢ Ensure that Group rules and processes on Customer Contracts Management are followed properly;

4. POSITION REQUIREMENTS & DETAILS

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration/Economics
• Fluent in Italian and English, with good knowledge of incoterms and fiscal topics linked to customer contracts
