Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Revenue Operations & Administration professional who can take end-to-end ownership of hospital revenue operations while also managing key administrative and operational functions.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in hospital revenue management, billing operations, collections, MIS, process improvement, and coordination with clinical and non-clinical departments, along with the ability to independently manage hospital administration and day-to-day operational requirements.
This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong ownership, analytical ability, stakeholder management, and the ability to work closely with doctors, clinical teams, finance, front office, insurance/TPA teams, vendors, and hospital leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Operations & Revenue Cycle Management
- Own and monitor the hospital's end-to-end revenue cycle from patient registration and billing through collections and closure.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly revenue performance against targets.
- Identify revenue leakage, billing gaps, missed charges, discounts, write-offs, and collection delays.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing across OPD, IPD, surgeries, diagnostics, pharmacy, procedures, and other hospital services.
- Monitor AR, outstanding payments, collections, credit billing, insurance/TPA receivables, and patient dues.
- Coordinate with Finance, Billing, Front Office, Insurance/TPA, Clinical and Operations teams to resolve revenue-related issues.
- Track insurance/TPA claims, approvals, deductions, denials, and settlement timelines.
- Analyse revenue trends and prepare MIS, dashboards, and management reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue realization, patient conversion, average billing value, and operational efficiency.
- Establish and monitor revenue-related SOPs, controls, and processes.
- Ensure appropriate coordination between clinical services and billing teams so that all billable services are captured correctly.
- Monitor discounts, refunds, credit notes, and exceptional approvals in line with hospital policies.
- Work with leadership to develop and implement revenue improvement initiatives.
2. Hospital Administration & Operations
- Manage day-to-day hospital administrative operations and ensure smooth functioning of non-clinical activities.
- Coordinate with departments including Front Office, Facility, Housekeeping, Security, Maintenance, Biomedical, IT, Procurement, and other support functions.
- Ensure adequate availability and functioning of essential hospital facilities, equipment, utilities, and support services.
- Manage and coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and contractors.
- Monitor vendor performance, service quality, contracts, and operational issues.
- Ensure administrative processes are aligned with hospital policies, statutory requirements, and applicable quality/accreditation standards.
- Support hospital leadership in implementing operational policies, SOPs, and process improvements.
- Handle escalations related to patients, attendants, vendors, and internal stakeholders from an administrative perspective.
- Monitor facility-related issues and ensure timely closure through respective teams.
- Support audits, inspections, compliance requirements, and documentation related to hospital operations.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a key coordination point between Revenue, Finance, Clinical, Nursing, Front Office, Insurance/TPA, HR, and Administration.
- Work closely with doctors and clinical leadership to improve operational and revenue processes without compromising patient experience.
- Lead regular review meetings and track action items to closure.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive accountability and ensure timely resolution of operational and revenue-related issues.
4. MIS, Analytics & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain dashboards covering:
- Daily/monthly revenue
- Collections
- AR/outstanding
- TPA/insurance receivables
- Department-wise revenue
- Patient volumes
- Billing and collection efficiency
- Revenue leakage
- Operational KPIs
- Analyse trends and provide actionable insights to hospital leadership.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Use data to support management decision-making and improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA/MHA/PG qualification preferred.
Experience:
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in hospital revenue operations, revenue cycle management, hospital administration, or healthcare operations.
- Candidates with experience managing both revenue and administration will be strongly preferred.
- Experience in a hospital, oncology centre, multispecialty hospital, or healthcare organisation is preferred.

The ideal candidate is someone who can independently own hospital revenue operations while simultaneously managing administration, rather than functioning only as a billing or administration specialist.
Someone with strong experience in either Revenue Operations or Hospital Administration, but with sufficient exposure and capability to take ownership of the second function, may also be considered.
