What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a Retail Demand Planning Manager on the Sales Operations team to drive forecast This role sits side-by-side with our Retail account managers as their dedicated planning partner — jointly building promotional plans, forecasting units, and shaping account strategy for SimpliSafe's national retail accounts. You'll be the analytical engine behind each account manager, turning data into the plans they take to their retail partners,accuracy, sales performance reporting, and planning rigor across SimpliSafe’s national retail accounts. In this role you will sit at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution — translating complex business trends into clear plans that support the retail sales organization and executive leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Own weekly annual operating plan and quarterly reforecast across national retail club accounts; manage sell-in/sell-through planning to minimize excess returns.
- Co-own account forecasts, promo planning, collaborate with account managers for buyer meetings with emphasis on sku-level accuracy and then reporting
- Partner on activation forecasting to support the go-to-market planning cycle and contribute to cross-functional scenario modeling with Finance and Direct-to-Consumer Forecasting teams.
Sales Reporting & GTM Visibility
- Manage weekly sales reporting for timely delivery to internal stakeholders; maintain recurring KPI reporting and surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support migration of sales reporting into a self-serve business intelligence platform and contribute to activation and attrition reporting to monitor customer lifecycle performance.
Planning, Inventory & Tools
- Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain on inventory allocation, supply and demand balance, and operational metrics; maintain sell-through and sell-in processes while reducing manual touchpoints.
- Own data integrity, product cost and pricing accuracy, and platform adoption across sales planning tools; align supply and demand assumptions to improve forecast inputs.
- Build custom dashboards and reporting tools that deliver actionable insights, and apply AI tools to drive efficiencies across forecasting and planning workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong relationships across Sales, Finance, Direct-to-Consumer, Supply Chain, and Marketing; translate planning outputs into concise, executive-ready communications.
- Partner with analytics teams on KPI definitions, reporting standards, and best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
- 5+ years of experience in planning, sales operations, finance, or a similar analytical role.
- Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with BI tools such as Hex, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with retail and sales planning platforms; familiarity with Alloy preferred; SIOP knowledge a plus.
- Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex data for both sales partners and executive leadership.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving processes.

The target annual base pay range for this role is $112,000 to $148,000
This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
