Overview:

Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for IR, Intake and Recovery at Sentara Careplex Hospital located in Hampton, Virginia. This is a full time, day shift position. This position requires weekend on-call as noted below. ​

$15,000 Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates!

Hours

• Monday – Friday: 7:30am - 5pm, 4 days a week OR 8am - 4:30pm, 5 days a week

• Weekend Call: 4 hours on Saturday/Sunday about every 6 weeks (9am-1pm)

Overview

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education

• Minimum of ASN or RN Diploma (Required)

• BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• RN licensure (Required)

• BLS within 90 days of hire

• ACLS within 1 year

Experience

• 1 year of RN experience (Required)

• Previous critical care experience (ICU, ED, etc) (Preferred)

Sentara CarePlex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224-bed technologically advanced, acute care facility, and Certified Primary Stroke Center.
