Engineering Lead/Regional Engineering Manager

Responsible for effective daily leadership and administration of the Engineering Services team safely, efficiently, and effectively operate machinery and systems as agreed with Client. The position must ensure the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the Client’s needs, and a commitment to achieving agreed objectives throughout the engineering team. Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the Client’s assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function. Lead several teams being managed by a Chief Engineer for each service specialty, such as HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical/Fleet Maintenance and repair, along with others added through scope changes agreed to with the Client.

Active and direct daily leadership of the Engineering Team:

• Lead the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, primary switch gear), cabling (data and voice, broad band), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, light construction (painting, doors, relites, locks), digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access, radionics, CCTV), and automobile/cart/light industrial truck maintenance/repair.  Utilize outside vendors in addition to JLL team members.

• Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, trade and position specific training and personal development.
• Identify the maintenance objectives of the facility and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance procedures with the Hard Services Lead and Account Director.
• Identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building’s staff and occupants work in a safe environment. Implement, administer, and manage safety training program.
• Assist in the development of a Capital plan which would include planning for infra-structure upgrades, equipment replacements and building modifications to ensure the building’s future capabilities are maintained.
• Assist Hard Services Lead with documentation of changes to infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building including up-to-date building drawings and single lines as well as documentation mandated for the purpose of maintaining regulatory compliance with Federal, State or Local law.
• Review activities of contractors working within the Site.
• Keep records of buildings rounds and readings, all engineering logs, and engineering data sheets.
• Provide advanced training and notification to all contractors so that they are informed and knowledgeable with respects to the building’s critical functions and the work they are to perform, including an incident contact response list.
• Perform additional job duties as requested.
• Verify the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description where parts are requested for maintenance activities.
• Record and review readings to demonstrate to team members/perform adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Comply with Client and JLL policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory

What this job involves:

• Key member and leader of Engineering Services at a Site with a variety of buildings
• Provide experienced advice for Chief Engineers supervising a wide range of unique challenges
• Nuclear activities environment requires additional training, knowledge, and problem solving within the parameters of a variety of jurisdictions
• Work closely with the Hard Services Lead, Soft Services Lead, and Integrated Facilities Manager with main responsibility to manage workflows for Corrigo system Work Orders and scope from Client

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Corrigo Work Orders determine staffing, service offering, and schedule for Chief Engineers.  You will collaborate closely with them for any issues, outages, or concerns.
• Audit of Corrigo Work Orders and other tasking will be daily in a variety of service areas
• Collaboration with Lead Team for staffing, training, and qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA in Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, other related field
• Have a minimum of 5 years of applicable working experience in building repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical.
• Ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action as required
• Strong Computer skills using applications such as Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), sourcing/ordering/receiving systems, along with Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and others.
• Communicate effectively with superiors, peers, and subordinates, in writing or during verbal interactions.
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Strong People skills
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb up to 30 ft ladders
• Position requires daily and frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
• Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process
• Must be a citizen of the United States of America, or have appropriate permission and/or Visa to work in the United States of America
• Must not have a disqualifying criminal event or record
