Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the Regional Brand Ambassador role is to passionately champion and elevate the presence of our premium brands throughout the Classic and 3rd Party Markets. This entails establishing a strong brand presence, cultivating relationships with industry partners and ensuring our products are widely recognized and appreciated. The Regional Brand Ambassador will serve as the embodiment of our brand's essence and values, creating compelling brand experiences and contributing significantly to our market expansion and sales objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Education & Mentoring

• Develop in-depth knowledge of our premium brand portfolio to effectively communicate product features and benefits
• Educate and update the key stakeholders on our key Brands 
• Provide training and product education to distributors, retailers and consumers

Activations

• Support the Trade Marketing Associate in executing the regional trade marketing strategy, as well as monitor the Activations performance (per brand/market/channel) of the Classic & Third-party markets
• Plan and execute promotional events, tastings and brand activations to enhance brand visibility and drive sale
• Support the local teams with (key) Brands Activations

Insights

• Gather market feedback and insights to inform marketing and product development strategies
• Bring all the relevant market and consumer insights to the Trade Marketing Associate

Brand Representation

• Act as the primary brand ambassador, embodying the brand's values and image
• Be the liaison between the brand and key (respective) Brand influencers
• Internal (my Portal) and external (Social Media) activities to promote our Brand Activities

Stakeholder Management

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Be the liaison with the set of markets to provide adequate support and share adequate guidance on the Pernod Ricard (key) Brands and execute playbooks recommendations based on market size and business/brand development stages in order to ensure highest impacts and ROI of Pernod Ricard activities in the Classic & Third-Party markets
• Work in close collaboration with the markets as well as PR Africa support functions based in Johannesburg – especially Marketing & Procurement- to ensure consistency with respective Brand Co’s global guidelines and alignment with the Pernod Ricard Ways of Working

Key Competencies and Experience

• 2 – 3 years previous experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry is preferred
• Strong knowledge of the local alcohol market in Africa
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region
• Must be fluent in English
