We’re now looking for a experienced Real Estate Tax Manager to support a prestigious portfolio of real estate clients, assisting them in solving their complex commercial and tax challenges.

What You’ll do:  

• Develop investment structures for our clients, with a particular focus on inbound investment structures, taxation of trusts and Managed Investment Trusts (MITs) 

• Work closely with our wider Financial Advisory business (including our Deals, Tax (stamp duty, transfer pricing and GST), Legal, and Private Clients teams) to support real estate and/or infrastructure projects 

• Assist clients with Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activities, including tax structuring and tax due diligence services  

• Research and analyse technical tax issues and preparation of tax reports  

• Assist clients with their tax compliance, including preparing and/or reviewing of trust and company tax returns 

• Work with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) to obtain rulings for clients, and make submissions to Treasury on policy matters  

• Support with business development initiatives and proposals 

• Prepare for and attending meetings with clients 

• Lead and develop teams, including mentoring and coaching to junior team members

• Experience delivering Australian corporate tax advisory and compliance services across either a Big 4, Tier 2 or other professional service environment  

• The ability to navigate an increasingly complex tax environment for clients through innovative solutions
