The PMRIA Vice President delivers real estate investment advisory and asset management services to family office, ultra-high-net-worth, and institutional clients across the investment life cycle, including portfolio strategy, investment underwriting and due diligence, acquisitions and dispositions, and ongoing asset oversight. The role also supports PMRIA’s cross-functional relationship with Plante Moran, working closely with other Plante Moran client service teams to deliver integrated client solutions across the firm.
Your Role
• Work with clients to define long-term objectives and develop real estate portfolio and investment strategies, including asset positioning, benchmarking, financial analysis, capital markets, and debt procurement
• Source, underwrite, negotiate, and execute acquisitions, dispositions, 1031 exchanges, and refinancings, including due diligence
• Develop and execute asset-level business plans, including budgets, leasing strategy, capital plans, and hold/sell analysis; oversee property managers, leasing agents, and other third-party providers, while monitoring relevant KPIs, debt covenants, and lease expirations
• Independently synthesize information into investment memoranda, cash flow models, sensitivity analyses, and periodic performance reporting that identify issues and support clear conclusions
• Serve as day-to-day client lead and primary point of contact with lenders, brokers, legal counsel, investment managers, and other third-party service providers to identify and/or resolve issues
• Manage engagements end to end, including coordination, scheduling, and delivery within budget and time constraints while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction
• Participate in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management to acquire and assess important information for financial analysis
• Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations that succinctly identify issues and present solutions
• Engage clients on their business plans, strategy, and industry trends and risks to identify how we can assist
• Build trusted relationships with client decision-makers and their advisors (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, bankers) to expand relationships and facilitate referrals
• Identify and coordinate cross-serving opportunities; demonstrate knowledge of firm services relevant to the client
• Take responsibility for growing firm profits by identifying new opportunities and increasing the profitability of ongoing work in individual business area
• Conduct practice activities in a manner that is consistent with and promotes Plante Moran values
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Development, Finance or related field is required
- Minimum 7 years of real estate investment, asset management, or transaction experience
- Experience with complex financial modeling using advanced Excel-based formulas and/or ARGUS Enterprise
- Experience creating high-quality client presentations in PowerPoint
- Experience using LLMs and other artificial intelligence tools (e.g., CoPilot, Claude, ChatGPT)
- Prior responsibility for business development, account development, and client retention
This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $140,000.00 - 160,000.00
