Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Health related education or certification Experience / Qualifications: Previous experience related experience preferred. Position Summary The Radiology Tech Assistant performs specific tasks supporting the delivery of patient care in the assigned area. Works under the direction of a Registered Technologist and/or Registered Nurse. Assists with receiving patient in the exam room, proper positioning of patients for exams, discussing exams and preps with patients. Assists in the transport of patients to and from the designated exam area. Assists Technologist on recording patient history on screening questionnaire. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time. Frequent walking and pushing beds required. Threshold Requirements These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis. Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation. TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
