Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using appropriate equipment and established protocols.
Operates and troubleshoots imaging equipment and systems to ensure quality images and efficient workflow.
Provides basic patient care and support before, during, and after procedures.
Completes required documentation and performs departmental clerical duties.
Protects patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality while delivering compassionate care.
Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental performance initiatives.
Assists with the orientation of new employees and supports students during clinical rotations.
Maintains a safe environment by following radiation safety, infection prevention, and departmental policies.
Collaborates with Radiologists, providers, and other healthcare team members to support quality patient care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist (RRT) license or temporary license required.
ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at the time of hire.
Candidates who are not ARRT certified at hire must obtain ARRT R.T.(R) certification within one (1) year of employment.
