Location: Burlington, ON (Onsite)

Job Summary:

The R&D Lab Coordinator Intern supports the day-to-day operation of our multi-million-dollar research and development lab in Burlington, which develops, tests, and supports high-speed data communications products. This role helps relieve the Lab Manager of routine lab coordination duties - including asset management, calibration support, and inventory. This is an on-site position, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Support coordination with engineering teams to locate, rent, and purchase equipment and peripherals required for lab testing

- Assist in managing the Indysoft calibration/asset database

- Support yearly onsite and off-site calibration activities for critical R&D equipment

- Help maintain fiber optic, high-speed cable/connector, lab tool/peripheral/component, chemical, and ESD PPE inventories

- Coordinate with external vendors on equipment and lab peripheral purchasing

- Support compliance with ISO 14001/18001/9001 standards, including lab cleanliness and audit readiness

- Assist with procurement and reservation of components/items via SAP in collaboration with internal teams

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $26 - $28.5 CAD per/hr.  There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
