Reporting to the Manager, Product Quality Engineering, the Quality Data Analyst is responsible for transforming complex quality and operational data into actionable insights that drive product quality improvements, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction across Hach's global product portfolio. This role serves as a critical partner to engineering, operations, and quality teams by building scalable analytics solutions, identifying emerging quality risks, and supporting data-driven decision making throughout the product lifecycle. 

This position is part of the Quality Organization located in Loveland, Colorado and will be on-site. 

In this role, a typical day will look like: 

• Analyze trends in quality metrics across the global product portfolio and provide actionable recommendations to improve product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. 

• Create and maintain dashboards, automated reports, KPI tracking tools, and analytics infrastructure that provide visibility into quality performance across global operations. 

• Partner with engineering and operations teams to identify root causes of recurring quality issues and support corrective and preventive action initiatives. 

• Monitor field quality performance, warranty data, and customer complaint trends to proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities for improvement. 

• Develop and validate predictive models, classification tools, and AI-enabled analytics solutions that accelerate quality investigations and engineering decision making. 

• Support root cause analysis investigations through data preparation, analysis, and visualization of quality and reliability data. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish data governance standards and improve quality data consistency across systems. 

The essential requirements of the job include: 

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. 

• Experience in data analysis, quality engineering, or a related analytical role within a manufacturing, hardware, or product development environment. 

• Experience using Python, SQL, or similar tools for data preparation, workflow automation, and statistical analysis. 

• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools. 

• Proven track record of translating analytical findings into measurable quality, operational, or process improvements. 

It would be a plus if you also possess: 

• Experience with machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or related AI-enabled analytical workflows. 

• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001. 

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), or Six Sigma methodologies. 

• Familiarity with root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone/Ishikawa, or FMEA. 

• Experience working with ERP or PLM systems such as SAP or Oracle.
