Position Overview:
Beam is looking for a highly energetic co-op to join our growing quality control team. The co-op will provide operational, administrative, and laboratory support to the QC organization. This role is intended to support PLI readiness, method lifecycle activities, laboratory organization, reagent traceability, and quality-system-related activities while providing hands-on exposure to a GMP-regulated laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in procurement, tracking, and management of reagents and materials.
- Assist with method lifecycle activities, including feasibility runs and troubleshooting of analytical methods and laboratory instruments under supervision.
- Organize, document and archive historical data sets.
- Support quality event documentation (e.g., Deviation, CAPA, Change Control).
- Assist in reviewing data generated by other analysts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Learn about key functions in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, including analytics, stability testing, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
- Gain hands-on experience with analytical methods and techniques commonly used in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a BS or MS in biological sciences or a related field (Biochemistry/Biophysics, Cell Biology/Molecular Biology, Chemistry)
- Completed entry level biology, chemistry and biochemistry courses
- Completed of biology, chemistry and biochemistry lab courses.
- Knowledge of ICH/USP guidelines is highly desirable.
- Must be a team player, comfortable working collaboratively and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university program and maintain their student status throughout the duration of the co-op to be eligible.
Hourly pay will will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
