Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 4 to 12 years of experience in test automation using Selenium with Java. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and programming skills, with hands-on experience in database testing and Unix environments. Exposure to modern automation tools and cloud platforms is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright
• Develop automated test suites covering:
  • Functional
  • Regression
  • API
  • End-to-End scenarios
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automation solutions
• Perform test planning, execution, and defect tracking activities
• Work with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) for automation integration
• Validate data integrity by performing database testing using SQL queries
• Execute tests in Unix/Linux environments and support deployment validations
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide detailed reports to stakeholders
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–12 years of experience in QA automation
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Selenium and any other automation tool
  • Java programming
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Good understanding of:
  • Automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, BDD/Cucumber – preferred)
  • SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
• Strong SQL expertise (mandatory)
• Solid foundation in:
  • OOP principles
  • Data structures & algorithms
  • Design patterns for automation frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with database testing (SQL)
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and environments
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.)

Good to Have Skills

• Exposure to modern automation tools such as Playwright
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Knowledge of API testing tools (Rest Assured/Postman)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Understanding of containerization or microservices-based architectures
• Domain knowledge in Finance / Banking (e.g., financial transactions, data validation, reconciliation, regulatory workflows)

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced Agile environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
