Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

• Implement the Quality Audit program at CHEP-owned and subcontracted plants, aligning with the quality team's objectives.
• Develop and deliver Quality and Compliance Training materials to operations personnel, fostering adherence to quality standards.
• Act as a customer facing representative of Chep in all quality matters, leading resolution of issues through the root cause corrective action process
• Establish and enforce compliance with Quality Best Practices, Standard Procedures, and materials at regional CHEP and 3PL Service Centers.
• Conduct unannounced compliance audits of Service Centers, covering both product and process aspects.
• Support product and process strategies and rollouts to enhance quality standards across operations.
• Assist in product and service failure investigations at CHEP operations, driving resolution and providing coaching where needed.
• Investigate and document field intelligence, focusing on metrics such as AQL, QMS compliance, and damage ratios.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Quality & Assurance Lead to support and strengthen quality standards across CHEP operations and the 3PL network. In this role, you will enhance product and service quality visibility, drive compliance with operational standards, and act as a key partner to both internal stakeholders and customers in resolving quality-related issues. You will play an important role in fostering a quality-driven culture through audits, investigations, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

Quality Audits & Compliance

• Implement and execute the Quality Audit Program across CHEP-owned and subcontracted service centers in line with regional quality objectives.
• Conduct announced and unannounced audits of service centers, assessing both product quality and process compliance.
• Monitor and improve adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, and quality best practices.
• Support the rollout of quality initiatives, product strategies, and process improvements across operations.

Quality Investigations & Customer Support

• Act as CHEP’s customer-facing quality representative, managing quality-related concerns and ensuring timely resolution.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action processes (RCA/CAPA) to address product and service quality issues.
• Support investigations into operational failures, customer complaints, and service disruptions while providing coaching and guidance to operations teams.
• Gather and analyze field intelligence to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Training & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and deliver quality and compliance training programs for operational teams.
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across CHEP and partner operations.
• Support the implementation of standardized quality processes and improvement initiatives.
• Drive awareness of quality metrics, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor and report on key quality indicators including: Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) QMS compliance Damage ratios Audit performance Corrective action effectiveness
• Analyze trends and recommend actions to improve product and service quality performance.
• Support data-driven decision-making through quality reporting and insights.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Food Science, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, or Continuous Improvement.
• Experience handling customer complaints, quality investigations, or corrective action processes is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of quality investigations, complaint management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality standards.
• Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, and Power BI is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP/Food Industry requirements, and Lean Six Sigma principles is preferred.
• Risk assessment and problem-solving mindset.
