The Purchasing Analyst keeps material flowing to our production line and field fleet. You will own the day-to-day purchasing cycle: turning demand into purchase orders, getting parts on the dock when they're needed, and keeping the system of record accurate enough for the rest of the company to trust. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will know the status of every open PO and spot the shortage before it stops the line. This is a hands-on, onsite role in Norcross, GA. You'll join a company that is scaling production and replacing NetSuite with its own internally built ERP.

Responsibilities:

• PO execution: turn MRP output, build plans and field-service demand into accurate, on-time POs. Confirm, track and expedite them through receipt, and escalate shortages early with options.
• Shortage prevention: maintain a weekly runout report covering what we'll run out of next, when, and what's on order to cover it. Monitor on-hand, on-order and safety stock levels.
• ECO execution: cancel, reschedule or re-quote affected POs quickly to limit excess and obsolete inventory.
• Data accuracy: keep item, vendor, lead-time and pricing data accurate in the ERP. Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies with Receiving and Finance.
• ERP transition: test purchasing workflows in the new system, document how the process actually runs, and flag gaps before cutover.
• Supplier coordination: be the day-to-day contact for assigned suppliers. Request quotes, compare price and lead time, and track on-time delivery and quality issues with Quality.
• Reporting: build simple, repeatable reports on PO status, supplier on-time delivery and spend.
• Process simplification: remove or simplify steps in the purchasing process before anyone asks to automate them.

Requirements

• 2–4 years in purchasing, buying, procurement or materials planning, ideally in a hardware manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience running the full PO cycle in an ERP (creating, changing and closing POs), not just viewing reports
• Persistent follow-through: you can track dozens of open orders at once without dropping any
• Clear, direct communication with suppliers and internal teams, including delivering bad news early

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in robotics, automation, industrial equipment or another low-volume, high-mix hardware business
• Familiarity with machined, sheet metal, fabricated and electrical components, and with reading basic drawings and BOMs
• Experience going through an ERP implementation or system migration
• Exposure to excess and obsolete inventory management or to ECO-driven purchasing changes
