Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

Maxis’ Professional Training and Education for Growing Entrepreneurs (PROTÉGÉ) programme gives young Malaysian talent the opportunity to build practical skills through classroom and on-the-job training. Over 12 months, you will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the teams that serve our customers.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical Talent Acquisition professional to support Talent Acquisition projects, recruitment analytics, reporting, and AI-driven initiatives. This role will help drive process improvements, maintain recruitment dashboards, generate hiring insights, and support the adoption of recruitment technologies and AI tools to enhance hiring effectiveness and recruiter productivity.

The successful candidate will work closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, Data & Analytics, and business stakeholders to support recruitment transformation efforts and build data-driven recruitment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Projects & Operations

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Talent Acquisition projects and improvement initiatives.
• Assist in monitoring project timelines, deliverables, and implementation activities.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on recruitment-related initiatives.
• Support process improvement and automation efforts to enhance recruitment efficiency.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, and progress updates.

Recruitment Analytics & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain recruitment reports, dashboards, and hiring metrics.
• Track key recruitment KPIs, including:

o Time-to-Hire

o Time-to-Fill

o Source of Hire

o Candidate Conversion Rates

o Offer Acceptance Rates

• Analyze hiring data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support data validation and ensure accuracy of recruitment reports.
• Assist in generating workforce and talent market insights for business stakeholders.

AI & Digital Recruitment Support

• Support the adoption and utilization of AI-powered recruitment tools and technologies.
• Assist recruiters in leveraging AI and digital tools for sourcing, candidate engagement, and recruitment administration.
• Research emerging recruitment technologies, market trends, and best practices.
• Support testing, implementation, and user training of new recruitment tools.
• Maintain documentation, user guides, and best practice materials for AI-enabled recruitment solutions.

Recruitment Support

• Assist the Talent Acquisition team in sourcing, screening and recruitment activities when required.
• Conduct talent research, talent mapping, and market intelligence exercises.
• Support candidate pipeline tracking and recruitment campaigns.
• Coordinate interview logistics and recruitment activities as needed.
• Ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process.

Continuous Improvement & Capability Building

• Contribute ideas to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience.
• Support training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Talent Acquisition team.
• Assist in developing recruitment playbooks, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
• Stay informed on talent acquisition trends, recruitment technologies, and AI developments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Psychology, or related disciplines.
• 0-2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, Recruitment Coordination, HR Operations, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• Fresh graduates with strong analytical capabilities are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, AI tools, or data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preference will be given to fresh graduates with no prior working experience who are currently unemployed.

Duration of Programme: 12 months starting in November
