Atwell is seeking a Proposal Marketing Associate to join our growing Marketing team. This is a fully remote position supporting proposal development and pursuit efforts across the organization, with working hours aligned to the West Coast time zone.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with technical professionals, business development leaders, and fellow marketing team members to develop compelling proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, and other pursuit materials. You’ll help manage the proposal process from kickoff through final submission, bringing together strong writing, strategy, organization, and design to help position Atwell for success.

This opportunity is a strong fit for an experienced AEC proposal professional who enjoys managing multiple pursuits, collaborating across teams and time zones, and taking ownership of high-quality proposal development and production.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of proposals, SOQs, RFQs, RFP responses, and interview presentations for Land Development and Public Works opportunities.

• Partner with technical and business leaders to develop pursuit strategies, win themes, messaging, and differentiators.

• Facilitate proposal kickoffs, strategy discussions, reviews, and final production.

• Write, edit, and refine proposal content that translates technical information into clear, compelling client-facing messaging.

• Support pursuits involving municipalities, public agencies, developers, and infrastructure clients.

• Coordinate proposal schedules, contributors, requirements, and deliverables while managing multiple pursuits at once.

• Create polished proposal materials using Adobe InDesign and Atwell's established brand standards.

• Maintain and improve proposal resources, including resumes, project descriptions, boilerplate content, and project data.

• Support interview preparation and presentation development for shortlisted teams.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, and operational leadership to continually improve how Atwell approaches and delivers pursuits.

• Share proposal best practices and provide guidance to other members of the proposal marketing team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who understands both the strategy and execution behind a strong AEC proposal.

You'll likely be a strong fit if you bring:

• 5+ years of marketing or proposal experience within the AEC industry.

• Experience developing and managing SOQs, RFQs, RFPs, and other pursuit materials.

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.

• Experience working directly with technical professionals, project managers, business development teams, and senior leaders.

• The ability to independently manage multiple proposals, deadlines, and contributors.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field, or comparable professional experience.

Experience supporting Land Development, Public Works, municipal infrastructure, transportation, water/wastewater, civil engineering, or public-sector pursuits is especially valuable.

Experience with capture planning, competitive positioning, go/no-go discussions, or larger strategic pursuits is also a plus.
