Job Description Summary
Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role. Has significant control/influence over commercial priorities. Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage commercial proposals, negotiate contract terms with customers, and ensure commercially sound agreements that deliver business value while maintaining competitive market positioning. Support tender processes, including the preparation and submission of required documentation.
- Build and apply expertise in commercial strategies, market trends, and industry developments. Contribute to developing and implementing business strategies, policies, and processes within the area of responsibility.
- Leverage strong knowledge of industry best practices and cross-functional business operations. Maintain awareness of market dynamics, competitor activities, and key differentiators to support informed commercial decision-making.
- Analyze complex business data and market information to identify opportunities, address challenges, and support strategic recommendations. Apply sound judgment to resolve moderately complex issues across projects, products, customers, sales initiatives, and commercial campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive effective decision-making and achieve business objectives. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for team members, share expertise, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information clearly and effectively, build stakeholder alignment, and influence outcomes through strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical engineering degree, ideally combined with an MBA.
- 10+ years of working experience in the transmission business in proposal manager roles/ commercial teams.
