As the expansion of our charging infrastructure continues to grow, we are now hiring a
Project Manager to
continue developing the charging network in the UK. In your day-to-day activities you will work with our UK
and Pan European Project Delivery Team, coordinating rollout projects and pitching our proposition for new
opportunities. Let's power the future together!
⚡ Your Responsibilities 🚀
Take ownership of EV charging infrastructure projects from development through to construction,
grid connection, commissioning and handover.
Lead the day-to-day delivery of multiple sites, ensuring programmes, actions, approvals, risks and
dependencies are actively managed and progressed.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities, contractors, DNO/ICP partners
and other key stakeholders.
Act as a key point of contact for local authority partners, building strong working relationships and
ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout project delivery.
Lead weekly and monthly progress meetings with local authorities, providing clear updates on
programme status, key milestones, risks, issues and upcoming activities.
Prepare and present project progress information, ensuring local authority stakeholders are kept
informed of delivery performance and any changes to programme.
Coordinate site surveys, designs, technical approvals, highway permits, utility connections and other
activities required to make sites construction ready.
Manage contractors through the construction phase, monitoring programme, quality, health & safety
and completion of outstanding works.
Proactively identify and resolve project risks, blockers and delays, escalating material issues to the
Programme Manager where required.
Maintain accurate project information, forecasts and reporting within Qwello's systems.
Provide clear project updates, KPI information and programme forecasts to the Programme Manager
and wider Qwello team.
Support the continued development and improvement of Qwello's project delivery processes as the
UK rollout grows.
Mentor and share knowledge around project management best practices
Your Profile ✨
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in project management, delivering infrastructure, construction,
utilities, highways or similar projects, with proven experience independently managing multiple live
projects or sites
Highly organised, proactive and commercially aware, with a strong sense of ownership and the
ability to drive actions through to completion
Strong communicator with the confidence to lead meetings and manage relationships with local
authorities, contractors, utilities and senior stakeholders.
Must be based in Milton Keynes or the surrounding area, with flexibility to regularly attend project
sites and meetings as required
Full UK driving licence
Experience within EV charging, electrical infrastructure, DNO connections, highways or local
authority projects is highly desirable
A relevant degree and/or recognised project management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2 is
desirable
Comfortable using Microsoft Office / Google Workspace and project management systems.
Willingness to travel throughout UK
Fluency in written and spoken English, additional language knowledge is a plus
