As a Project Manager, Laboratory at ICON, you will serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, overseeing laboratory services for clinical studies from start-up through closeout. You will ensure successful study delivery by coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
What You Will Do:
You will be responsible for managing laboratory projects and ensuring the successful delivery of clinical trial services while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary sponsor contact for all laboratory-related project activities, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
- Leading study start-up activities, including protocol review, study setup, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Managing project timelines, deliverables, study budgets, risks, and escalations to ensure studies are delivered to quality and performance expectations.
- Providing regular study updates, reports, and operational oversight while ensuring compliance with applicable procedures and industry standards.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to support study execution, investigator meetings, and project-related initiatives.
- Contributing to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and the development of less experienced team members.
Your Profile:
You will bring project management experience within clinical research, laboratory services, or a related life sciences environment, along with the following qualifications and skills.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing projects within clinical research, laboratory services, or other clinical trial support functions.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and the operational requirements associated with study delivery.
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and collaborate effectively across global teams.
