Project Manager, Configuration Management

We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented PLM Analyst I to help keep the product data and engineering-change processes behind our spacecraft moving quickly and accurately. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys structured technical work, thrives on solving operational puzzles, and wants a front-row seat to how complex hardware is designed, released, built, and improved.

You’ll work closely with our PLM team and partners across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality. Your core focus will be managing the intake, entry, routing, and quality review of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), helping ensure that every change to our hardware is documented, reviewed, traceable, and ready for execution.

By owning these essential day-to-day workflows, you’ll help scale the systems and processes that enable Astranis to build satellites faster and more reliably.

Role

• Create, enter, maintain, and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and associated PLM records
• Review ECO submissions for completeness, accuracy, required documentation, and adherence to established naming, revision-control, and release standards
• Coordinate ECO routing, approvals, and follow-up across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and other cross-functional teams
• Proactively identify stalled, incomplete, or inconsistent change requests and work with stakeholders to keep them moving
• Support the release and revision of parts, assemblies, drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and related engineering documentation
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics for ECO throughput, backlog, cycle time, and data quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, information systems, or another related technical field—or equivalent relevant experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to perform high-accuracy, process-driven work.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working with structured data, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize effectively, and follow defined
• processes.
• A collaborative approach and comfort working with technical and operational stakeholders.
• Curiosity about how physical products are designed, documented, released, and built.

Bonus

• Professional experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, or configuration-management teams.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), document-control, ticketing, or workflow-management systems.
• Exposure to engineering drawings, BOMs, part numbers, revisions, or change-control processes.
• Interest in aerospace, satellites, or complex hardware development.
