Sobre esta vaga de Project Lead na Today
Overview
We’re looking for a Project Lead to join our team in Naarm and lead projects within a multi-year service transformation program for the Victorian Government.
You’ll be someone who enjoys bringing order to complex work, who’s equally comfortable in a budget conversation and a research debrief, and who likes being the person clients and teams can rely on. Your work will make a real difference to how Victorians experience an important public service.

What’s the role?
You’ll lead several projects within a human-centred design service transformation program, working with multidisciplinary teams of strategic designers, product designers, business analysts and technologists. You’ll work across a varied stakeholder group, adjusting how you communicate and what tools you use to suit the people in the room.
You’ll work on meaningful, community-focused projects alongside a team of passionate, inclusive and curious people. We offer generous benefits including flexibility, a learning budget, wellness support, generous parental leave and your birthday off.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Leading delivery on multiple projects within the program
- Acting as a primary contact for client stakeholders and keeping communication clear and regular
- Managing requirements, timelines, budgets and dependencies across your projects
- Coordinating the day-to-day, from supporting teams during field research to working with our offshore development team
- Keeping reporting accurate and current, including budget, scope, risk and project status
- Finding ways to improve how we run projects so the team can spend more time on the work that matters
Requirements
Who we’re looking for
You have 5+ years of project management experience in an agency, consultancy, government or similar environment, and a track record managing strategic, product or digital projects. You understand human-centred design and know how to run a project that has research and iteration built into it. You’re comfortable with both agile and waterfall approaches and you know when each one fits.
You bring a solid project management toolkit and you’re confident in the Atlassian, Microsoft and Google suites. You write and speak clearly, you stay steady when things are ambiguous, and you work through problems rather than around them. Business analysis experience is a bonus.
How you work (this matters a lot to us)
We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, proactive and kind. You look for ways to help the people around you, you know your strengths and you’re happy to support others to grow. You bring optimism and a sense of humour to the work, and you contribute to the culture and ways of working that make Today a good place to be.
