What You Will Do 

The Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles (MSEN) Project team is looking for a summer intern that is interested in performing project engineering tasks on military engine programs. 

As a Project Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will……

• Perform project discipline Engineering standard work
• Participate on multi-disciplined integrated product teams
• Presenting schedule/budget/cost metrics during reviews.   
• Manage a schedule and budget, order and maintain hardware, and present status and metrics to leadership team. 
• Use Microsoft tools to create and maintain schedule and budget.  
• Participate as the project representative on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.  
• Work to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the intern session.
• Experience with Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer 

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 30 credits completed towards a degree prior to starting the internship 
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
