Overview

The Project Engineering Coordinator, reporting to the Project Manager, Procurement Integration, plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of equipment packages for the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Working closely with project leadership, the successful candidate will coordinate engineering, procurement, and stakeholder activities to support equipment delivery objectives while ensuring alignment with project schedules, quality requirements, and regulatory expectations.

This role requires strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills, with a focus on supporting Procurement Engineering activities. The Project Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external teams to track key deliverables, facilitate information flow, and provide project reporting to support effective decision-making and successful project execution.

Your role

• Assist in the preparation of procurement engineering documentation, including Procurement Requisitions, Engineering Quotation Requests, Technical Bid Evaluations, Design Change Instructions, Design Deviation Requests, and other documents.
• Establish and maintain vendor document review workflows, ensuring timely distribution, review, consolidation, and closure of comments. 
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, construction, commissioning, subcontractors, suppliers, and the customer to ensure technical and commercial actions are resolved in a timely manner. 
• Monitor action items, risks, issues, and commitments, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution. 
• Support project schedule development, progress tracking, and reporting activities. 
• Prepare meeting agendas, maintain records of decisions and action items, and support stakeholder engagement activities. 
• Assist with project reporting, performance metrics, presentations, and management reviews. 
• Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure work is planned and executed in compliance with applicable safety, quality, and human performance.

About you

• University degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
• 1-3 years of experience supporting engineering, procurement, construction, manufacturing, or project delivery activities.
• Previous experience in the nuclear industry is considered an asset.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, equipment supply, and vendor management is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
