Sobre esta vaga de Project Delivery Manager (Sydney, Australia) na Citygreen Systems LLC
About Citygreen
Citygreen designs and supplies engineered systems that let trees and stormwater infrastructure thrive in hard urban spaces. Our products, including StrataVault, StrataCell, InvisiGrate, DuraGrate and Urban Grove, are specified by landscape architects, engineers and councils across Australia and North America.
We don't just supply. We install, and our installation business is growing faster than our delivery team. That's why this role exists.
The role
We're looking for a Project Delivery Manager to run delivery of our installed projects across Greater Sydney and NSW. You'll take projects from contract award to handover: engaging and supervising installation subcontractors, holding the programme, pricing variations as they come up, and protecting margin against the estimate.
You'll also be the person who makes sure our systems go into the ground the way they were designed. That means reviewing installations against approved drawings, running pre-installation meetings, owning the quality record, and catching problems before they get buried.
This is a hands-on role. It won't suit someone who manages from a desk and waits to be asked.
What you'll do
Project delivery
- Plan and run delivery of installed projects from contract award to handover
- Engage, brief and supervise installation subcontractors on our piece-rate model, and help build out our Sydney subcontractor panel
- Own programme, scope and variations. Identify and price variations before the work proceeds, not after
- Protect project gross margin against the costed estimate
- Manage site safety obligations with subcontractors and the principal contractor
- Run project close-out and lessons learned, and feed what you learn back into estimating
Construction review and quality
- Review installations against approved drawings: levels, dimensions, soil volumes, compaction, layering and connections
- Own BuildPass review for your projects. Approve or reject evidence, raise non-conformances, and verify that corrective action holds
- Keep the photographic and inspection record complete enough to defend a warranty claim
Pre-construction and coordination
- Run pre-installation meetings covering sequencing, materials, tolerances and inspection points
- Brief contractors who are new to Citygreen systems
- Check drawing packages are buildable before they reach site, and send them back to our Design Studio when they aren't
- Coordinate with landscape architects, civil and stormwater engineers, utilities, councils, Sydney Water and Transport for NSW, so conflicts are found on paper rather than in the trench
- Back up our sales team on technical questions at design and specification stage
Requirements
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in the landscape industry, with training in landscape architecture, landscape technology or landscape construction. Civil construction backgrounds are also considered
- Hands-on site supervision of landscape installation, as a site supervisor, construction manager or contractor-side project manager. A landscape architect with substantial construction administration and site experience is equally welcome
- Practical knowledge of excavation, compaction, drainage and soil profiles, and how pavement, utilities and tree soil interact below ground. We'll test this at interview
- A track record of directing landscape or civil crews and holding them to scope and quality
- Confidence reading and marking up landscape and civil plan sets: levels, sections, soil and drainage details, utilities and pavement build-ups
- Accountability for programme, variations or margin on at least one real project
- Clear written communication. Credible with landscape architects and engineers, firm with contractors
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly within NSW
Nice to have
- Experience with soil cells, structural soil or similar systems (StrataVault, Silva Cell or equivalent)
- Urban tree planting and establishment: tree pits, structural soils, irrigation
- Construction QA platforms such as BuildPass or Procore
- AutoCAD or Civil 3D viewing and markup
- Knowledge of NSW council works, Sydney Water and road authority requirements
- An existing Sydney landscape subcontractor network
- HubSpot or NetSuite experience
How we work
We hire for three things as much as for experience.
Hungry. You see the next problem on a project and go after it without being asked.
Humble. You give credit to the installers and the design team, take a drawing correction without defensiveness, and say early when something is going wrong.
Smart with people. You speak the specifier's language at design stage and the installer's language on site. You can tell a contractor their work isn't acceptable and keep the relationship.
Benefits
What we offer
- Competitive ase salary plus superannuation, depending on experience
- Participation in Growth by Sharing
- A role with real ownership in a business that's growing its installation offer, working with an engaged leadership team that's close to the work
