Sobre esta vaga de Project Architect - 1S3P003 na SNIPEBRIDGE
Description
SNIPEBRIDGE is a strategic talent solutions company specializing in connecting exceptional talent to great career opportunities. We work as an exclusive partner to top AEC and design firms that are redefining the industry through innovation and transformative work.
THE COMPANY
Our client is an established, award-winning architecture studio in Los Angeles led by a design principal who is a Fellow of the AIA. The firm takes on projects that call for design sensitivity, technical rigor, and hands-on principal involvement.
Their portfolio is unusually broad for a boutique practice: cultural venues, single-family and multifamily residential, commercial, educational, civic, and infrastructure work, including bridges. The studio stays small by design, so staff work directly with clients and the principal on every project.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The firm is hiring a California-licensed Project Architect and Manager with a track record of delivering affordable multifamily rental housing. Your immediate focus is a 100% affordable senior housing development, with room to contribute to other projects across the studio.
You'll lead project coordination, technical documentation, consultant management, and funding-agency design compliance, working closely with the Design Principal. The right person knows how buildings go together, cares about thoughtful design, and can carry a team from concept through construction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead architectural documentation and coordination through design, permitting, and construction administration
- Manage compliance with affordable housing funding-agency requirements, including LACDA where applicable
- Work with the developer and consultants to build funding requirements into the design, documents, and schedule
- Direct production and review of drawings, specifications, and CA deliverables
- Develop and evaluate design proposals alongside the Design Principal
- Coordinate structural, civil, MEP, landscape, and specialty consultants
- Resolve technical issues, develop construction details, and keep the document set consistent
- Manage scope, schedule, staffing, and budget against contractual obligations
- Mentor staff and add to the studio's shared technical knowledge
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Active California architect license
- 10+ years of professional architectural experience, including completed multifamily housing
- Project architect or technical lead through completion on at least two affordable multifamily rental projects, or one LACDA-funded project (each 10+ units with recorded affordability restrictions)
- Ability to document your role on those completed projects, including at previous firms
- Experience across every phase, from concept design through construction administration
- Strong Revit skills and command of CD production and coordination
- Sharp technical detailing paired with a thoughtful design sensibility
- Working knowledge of California building codes, accessibility requirements, and multifamily construction
- Strong consultant coordination, team leadership, and client communication
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Direct experience with LACDA-funded projects and LACDA design review requirements
- Affordable senior housing and ground-up multifamily construction
- Projects layering multiple public funding sources and tax-credit financing
- Familiarity with Los Angeles-area permitting and zoning
- Rhino and Adobe Illustrator; BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, Dynamo, or Grasshopper a plus
