The BEES Program Supervisor supports daily operations of the Business Energy Efficiency Survey Program by coordinating staff activities, customer outreach, outbound calling to large prospective customers, event and trade show participation, survey scheduling, documentation, quality review, reporting, and client support. This role helps ensure surveys are completed accurately and on time, program records are maintained, customers and trade allies are engaged through professional outreach and promotional activities, and program activities align with SoCalGas utility-sponsored energy efficiency program guidelines and participation goals. This position is based in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate daily BEES program operations, including customer outreach, survey scheduling, field activity support, application review, reporting, pipeline management, and database updates.
• Supervise assigned program staff by delegating work, monitoring priorities, supporting training, coaching performance, and escalating staffing or performance concerns to the Senior Manager.
• Conduct outbound calling and targeted outreach to large prospective customers; oversee team calling activity to generate leads, promote no-cost energy efficiency surveys, and support participation goals.
• Represent and promote the BEES program at events, trade shows, community meetings, industry forums, and other outreach opportunities.
• Review survey documentation, customer reports, energy savings calculations, required paperwork, and related submittals for completeness, accuracy, quality, and compliance with program requirements.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to staff on customer service, issue resolution, program procedures, survey documentation, report preparation, and client expectations.
• Monitor outreach, survey production, pipeline status, QA/QC findings, customer feedback, and documentation completion; identify gaps and recommend corrective actions to the Senior Manager.
• Support communications with customers, trade allies, clients, and stakeholders by responding professionally to questions, gathering feedback, and elevating concerns when appropriate.
• Assist with preparation of program status reports, production summaries, participation updates, quality control findings, and other reporting needed to demonstrate progress toward program goals.
• Travel throughout Central and Southern California approximately 30% to 40% of the time as needed to support program operations, customer engagement, staff oversight, field activities, and quality review.

Key Performance Indicators

• Support achievement of BEES survey, outreach, participation, and pipeline goals consistent with client and program guidelines.
• Support outbound calling performance, including outreach to large prospective customers and team follow-through on assigned calling activities.
• Support program promotion through participation in events, trade shows, and outreach opportunities that generate leads and customer engagement.
• Maintain timely and accurate scheduling, documentation, database updates, reporting, and survey processing.
• Monitor staff productivity, morale, training needs, and adherence to program procedures.
• Support quality customer service and timely resolution or escalation of customer, trade ally, and stakeholder concerns.
• Review work products to ensure written communications, survey reports, and customer-facing materials meet business writing standards.
• Identify process improvements, program risks, and operational issues and communicate recommended actions to the Senior Manager.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, energy, environmental science, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.

Licenses/Certifications

• Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel.
• Must maintain minimum required vehicle insurance.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license in good standing.

Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience in program coordination, program operations, field operations, customer service, or a related role, preferably in the energy efficiency sector.
• Experience coordinating staff assignments, tracking production, reviewing documentation, and supporting customer or client-facing program activities.
• Experience working with databases and data tracking processes, including customer relationship management, activity tracking, reporting, or similar systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and related business systems.

Preferred:

• Experience supervising, leading, training, or coordinating staff.
• Experience performing energy audits, energy surveys, or energy savings calculations.
• Experience conducting assessments or audits of gas equipment, appliances, HVAC, or energy-using equipment in commercial, industrial, agricultural, restaurant, or hotel settings.
• Experience interacting with business owners, customer representatives, trade allies, clients, and other key stakeholders.
• Experience with data analytics, reporting, quality assurance, or quality control processes.
• Bilingual; Spanish or other language

Physical Job Description

Typical Working Conditions:

• Must be located in the greater Santa Fe Springs, CA area
• Must be willing and able to travel throughout Central and Southern California approximately 30% to 40% of the time to support program needs.
• Work is performed in an office and field environment with moderate noise level.
• One day per week remote work if preferred, subject to business needs.
• Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some evening and weekend hours as needed.
• Standard office equipment, including computer, phone, scanner, printer, and copier.
• Program database, reporting tools, and customer tracking systems
• Physical ability to occasionally lift files and materials up to 20 pounds, open filing cabinets, bend, stand, and reach above head as necessary.
• Position requires computer and keyboard use approximately 90% of the time.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and visual acuity sufficient to read a computer screen and paper documents.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $25/hour - $28/hour. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
