FreeBalance is looking for a Professional Services Consultant – Treasury to join its team in San José, Costa Rica. The successful candidate will work closely with government clients to implement and support FreeBalance Treasury solutions, from requirements gathering and solution configuration to testing, training, and knowledge transfer. The role requires strong ERP implementation experience, functional Treasury and Public Financial Management expertise, and the ability to translate client needs into effective solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
Implement and deploy FreeBalance Treasury solutions following the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certified implementation methodology.
Conduct business requirements reviews with government and public sector clients, gathering and documenting Treasury and Public Financial Management requirements.
Analyze and map client Treasury processes to FreeBalance functionality and prepare functional documentation and storyboards for client approval and sign-off.
Configure and demonstrate FreeBalance Treasury solutions, including cash management, cash forecasting, banking, payments, receipts, and related treasury processes.
Support the integration of Treasury processes with other financial management functions, including budgeting, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and General Ledger.
Develop test plans and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of the configured solution with the client.
Develop training materials and deliver product and user training, including Train-the-Trainer sessions, while ensuring effective knowledge transfer to client teams.
Manage customer expectations and build effective client relationships while promoting FreeBalance values, methodologies, and good practices.
Work closely with the Project Manager and project team to ensure activities, milestones, and deliverables are completed on time and within budget, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues.
Provide functional feedback to Product Management based on client requirements and implementation experience, and perform other duties related to assigned projects and FreeBalance OKRs.
Qualifications:
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of Information Systems experience, including at least 5 years implementing ERP or financial management solutions.
Strong functional knowledge of Treasury and Public Financial Management processes, including cash management, cash forecasting, banking, payments, receipts, and related processes.
Demonstrated experience implementing and configuring Treasury or financial management solutions, including requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, deployment, and training, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
Experience with ERP systems and the integration of Treasury with other financial management functions, including budgeting, accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
Experience working with government or public sector organizations and knowledge of public sector Treasury and financial management processes is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address functional and implementation challenges.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to build positive customer relationships and excellent verbal and written Spanish and English.
