Sobre esta vaga de Production Operations Lead Technician na Arc Boat Company

Arc Boat Company · Presencial · Torrance, CA

What we’re building

The marine industry supports recreation, global commerce, and national defense. And yet it runs on technology that hasn't meaningfully changed in fifty years. Until now.

Arc is on a mission to electrify the marine industry. We're rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs from first principles. And we're already executing. We started with consumers to develop and harden our core technology. We’re now scaling production of our flagship model with new models and sectors on the horizon. Now we’re extending our platform to  commercial applications, starting with tugs, ferries, and defense, with > years worth of signed contracts and a pipeline that spans every vessel type on the water.

The technology is proven, the momentum is building, and the opportunity is enormous. The marine industry is going electric and Arc is building the platform that powers it

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who’s fired up by our mission and ready to build. You’ll thrive here if you adapt quickly, take ownership, and care about the details.

This is a full-time, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters. You’ll report to the Area Supervisor and work closely with a lean, high-trust team where everyone’s work matters.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership for a team of Electromechanical Technicians, coordinating daily work priorities and ensuring safe, efficient execution to meet production objectives.
  • Mentor, train, and coach technicians to develop technical proficiency, improve workmanship, and reinforce a culture of safety, quality, ownership, and accountability.
  • Serve as the safety champion for the assigned work center by driving compliance with PPE requirements, safe work practices, electrical safety, lifting procedures, and company policies while proactively identifying and eliminating hazards.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Test, and Supply Chain to translate engineering intent into executable work instructions and support successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Monitor daily production progress, remove technical blockers, escalate risks appropriately, and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure production schedules and delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Lead the installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and validation of complex electrical and mechanical systems, including wiring harnesses, batteries, cooling systems, steering, drivetrain components, pumps, controls, and other integrated boat systems.
  • Ensure technicians execute work in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, torque specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements while driving first-pass quality and minimizing rework.
  • Coordinate labor assignments based on technician skill level, production priorities, and workload while maintaining high utilization and supporting technician development.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, standardized work, tooling, workstation organization, and production flow using Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Support new product introductions, engineering validation builds, and process changes by providing hands-on technical expertise and feedback to improve manufacturability and production readiness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on electromechanical assembly, integration, troubleshooting, or manufacturing experience in a high-volume production environment.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring technicians in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience troubleshooting low- and high-voltage electrical systems, mechanical assemblies, CAN communication, or integrated electromechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and root-cause problem solving is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment with changing priorities.

Bonus qualifications

  • High school degree or GED certification
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Comfortable pushing an intense but sustainable pace
  • Enthusiasm for boating, clean energy, and the water

At Arc, we encourage diversity and consider all qualified applicants equally for employment, regardless of background, identity, or status. You’re always welcome to reach out to the Head of Production and People Partner even if you don’t meet many of these qualifications. Passion and aptitude make up for a lot
