Proliant Health & Biologicals (PHB) is a specialist manufacturer based in Feilding, producing high-value biological ingredients for global health markets.

It’s a pretty unique operation, sitting at the intersection of science, manufacturing and primary industry. The Feilding site is part of an international business, with teams in New Zealand and the US working closely together.

We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our production operation in Feilding. This is a key leadership role within the site, providing direction and accountability across the production team and taking ownership of day-to-day performance across safety, quality, delivery and efficiency.

We’re looking for someone who knows manufacturing, is comfortable leading leaders and enjoys being close to the operation. Someone who can see what needs to be done, make decisions and get things moving, while bringing their team with them.

You’ll also play a big part in developing the production team, improving how we work and building a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

The role will suit someone who can balance the day-to-day with the bigger picture. You’ll need to be comfortable dealing with problems as they arise, working across the wider site and knowing when something needs to be escalated and when it can simply be dealt with.

Experience in food, dairy, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device or another regulated manufacturing environment would be well suited to this role, but you don’t need to come from biotech specifically. We’re more interested in strong production leadership experience and the right approach.

This is a senior, visible role for someone who wants to make a real difference to how a manufacturing operation runs.

Based in Feilding, this could suit someone already in the Manawatū or someone looking for a genuine senior leadership opportunity and a move to the region.
