About the Role
This role will report to the Product Trust Governance & Compliance Director. As the Product Trust Process Architect, you will define, maintain, and continuously improve the Harman Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) and its underlying processes, work instructions, templates, guidelines, and checklists on the Harman Business Management System (BMS). You will maintain the CSMS and represent Harman's CSMS during internal and external audits. Within the broader Product Trust framework, you will also support alignment with Functional Safety (FUSA), applicable SOTIF, and responsible AI governance. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, procurement, data privacy, and learning functions to embed cybersecurity governance and a strong cybersecurity culture across the organization.
What You Will Do
- Define and improve Cybersecurity-specific processes, work instructions, templates, guidelines, and checklists on BMS.
- Lead the rollout and deployment of the CSMS across all SBUs, managing the organizational change required to embed cybersecurity processes into day-to-day engineering operations and drive adoption.
- Monitor the evolving global cybersecurity regulatory landscape (UNECE R155/R156, EU Cyber Resilience Act, regional and OEM-specific requirements) and translate changes into HARMAN's cybersecurity compliance strategy, roadmap, and process updates.
- Present the details of Harman CSMS in internal audits, customer audit, and certification audits.
- Define, track, and report CSMS performance metrics and KPIs through governance dashboards and management reviews, driving data-based continuous improvement of the CSMS.
- Interface with Harman Learning and Development to define & conduct cybersecurity training programs and identify external trainers for cybersecurity courses.
- Participate in the industry cybersecurity community to learn and adopt best practices.
- Benchmark Harman's CSMS and cybersecurity governance practices against industry peers, OEMs, and Tier-1 competitors to identify differentiators and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze audit findings, non-conformities, and industry lessons learned from multiple sources to define corrective and preventive actions for the CSMS.
- Support the internal Assessor in reviewing the cybersecurity assessment report prior to its finalization, ensuring completeness, consistency, and alignment with ISO/SAE 21434.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 8+ years of engineering experience in embedded automotive systems, systems engineering, or Product Trust, or PhD with +5 years of experience in a related field.
- Minimum master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity or a relevant technical discipline. Advanced degrees are highly preferred.
- Expert in Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering (ISO/SAE 21434).
- Knowledge of UNECE R155 and R156 regulations.
- Experience / familiarity with the Product Development Life Cycle.
- Experience / familiarity with data privacy regulations, e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.
- Knowledge of tool management rules.
- Knowledge of process reference models such as Automotive SPICE®, TISAX, ISO 26262, and IATF 16949.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in on site native language
Bonus Points if You Have
- Prior experience in defining and maintaining CSMS on the organization level.
- Experience representing an organization's CSMS in ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155 / R156, TISAX, or Automotive SPICE for Cybersecurity audits and assessments.
- Knowledge of and experience with Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262), including safety-by-design principles and functional safety management.
- Familiarity with SOTIF (ISO 21448) and its interaction with cybersecurity and functional safety.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a Functional Safety Management System and supporting functional safety assessments
- Awareness of responsible AI / AI trustworthiness considerations for automotive products.
- Experience conducting supplier cybersecurity capability assessments and third-party risk management. Experience defining and delivering cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
- Membership in an automotive cybersecurity working group, consortium, or standards body.
- Experience with IoT / embedded systems security.
