What you’ll do
- Develop a deep understanding of internal application behavior and tech operations across data centers and applications
- Analyze problems, diagnose and fix bugs of low complexity when appropriate.
- Work with developers to identify and resolve more complicated problems
- Address urgent issues quickly, work within and measure against customer SLAs
- Adapt installer, shell scripts and perl scripts and aggressively automate manual tasks through scripting.
- Provide feedback from customers/ users to the team. Finding recurring issues, problem solving and getting it fixed.
- Maintain on-going record of problem analysis and resolution activity in an on-call tracking system.
- Proactively monitors production and non-production environments and applications
- Develop smaller complexity features and utilities in existing system components to enhance productivity.
What are we looking for :
- Good exposure to MySQL and writing SQL queries
- Automation scripting: More advanced tools preferred; Ex: Python, Shell.
- A prior experience in production support.
- Understanding of linux/unix basic commands and job scheduling (cron)
- Good to have prior programming experience; Java preferred
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience: 3+ Years
