In this highly collaborative regional role, you’ll translate customer and surgeon insights into product and launch strategies, lead market-readiness activities and partner with local markets and global teams to bring new technologies to market. You’ll work across Cochlear’s implants and surgical portfolio, including enabling technologies supporting surgical planning, navigation and procedural efficiency.
You’ll take a lead role in creating and executing regional product marketing and commercialisation plans across APAC.
Working with Country Marketing and Product Managers, Global Marketing and cross-functional partners, you’ll help ensure new technologies are positioned effectively, markets are ready for launch, and learnings from adoption and customer experience are used to optimise future activity.
The scope spans markets including Australia and New Zealand, Japan, Korea, India, China and Asian Growth Markets, giving you the opportunity to contribute regional insights and influence global product development and strategy.
What you’ll do
- Develop regional commercialisation and launch plans, including product positioning, value propositions, commercial objectives and market activation.
- Lead APAC market-readiness and commercialisation activity for new implants, surgical technologies and workflow solutions.
- Develop a deep understanding of surgeon workflows, operating-room environments and product-choice drivers and translate those insights into portfolio strategy.
- Partner with country teams to develop launch execution plans that support growth and market-share objectives.
- Lead cross-functional launch activity across Marketing Communications, Clinical Education, Regulatory, Localisation, Supply Chain, Sales Excellence and Country Marketing.
- Monitor adoption, utilisation and customer-experience metrics after launch and use the insights to optimise product uptake.
- Develop strong relationships with local Product and Marketing Managers, professional customers and selected Key Opinion Leaders.
- Represent APAC needs and insights in discussions with Global Marketing and contribute to future product-pipeline development.
- Support portfolio lifecycle activities including demand forecasting, product communications, configurations and end-of-sale planning.
- Help local teams effectively communicate product value through training, positioning, competitive insights and key selling messages.
About you
You’ll bring a combination of product expertise, commercial thinking and cross-functional leadership. You’ll be comfortable working across markets and functions, turning customer and market insights into clear priorities and taking initiatives from strategy through execution.
We’re looking for:
- A graduate qualification in marketing, business, engineering or science.
- At least 5 years' experience in product management, product marketing or commercialisation within implantable medical devices, surgical technologies or healthcare technologies.
- Medical device or healthcare industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional project teams.
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building capability.
- Strong project and time-management skills, with the ability to deliver outcomes across multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Willingness to travel, up to approximately 30% of the time.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience engaging with surgeons and operating-room stakeholders.
- Experience working across Asia Pacific or in another multi-country regional role.
- Additional Asian-language capability.
Why this role?
This opportunity combines regional scope, customer insight, product strategy and hands-on commercialisation.
You’ll have the opportunity to build deep knowledge of the implants and surgical portfolio, understand the realities of surgeon workflows and local markets, and help influence how current and future technologies are brought to customers across APAC. The role also provides direct exposure to global and regional teams while retaining ownership of tangible launch and adoption outcomes.
