Sobre esta vaga de Product Manager na Maersk
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Product Manager in the Core HCM domain. In this role, you will be responsible for leading initiatives to streamline and improve Global HR processes, ultimately enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience across the organization in line with company policies and compliance.
About this role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Manager with deep expertise in Workday Core HCM to join the People Platforms team. In this role, you will own the product strategy and continuous improvement of our Core HCM capabilities across the Hire to Retire process (excluding the Hire process, which sits with the Talent Acquisition & Attraction (TAA) team), with particularly strong focus on the Change Job business process, as well as Termination and data management. You will also need working knowledge of Workday security and integrations to understand how changes in this space ripple across the wider Workday landscape. This is a strategic, solution-oriented position where you will collaborate with global leaders and cross-functional teams—including process owners, technology, security, and support functions—to accelerate implementation timelines, manage the product lifecycle, reduce operational issues, apply prioritization frameworks, and build a transparent, high-quality product roadmap.
The role is weighted roughly 50–70% product management and 50–30% process ownership; in practice the two are heavily intertwined, and the successful candidate will move fluidly between defining what we build and defining and standardizing how the underlying HR processes work.
Key responsibilities
Product
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and execute a strategic product roadmap for Workday Core HCM aligned with organizational goals and evolving market needs, with a strong emphasis on the Change Job business process, Termination, and data management across the Hire to Retire lifecycle (excluding Hire, owned by TAA).
Feature Prioritization & Backlog Management
Collaborate with process owners, technical teams, and business stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements based on impact, feasibility, and user feedback; own and groom the product backlog in Jira (or equivalent).
Requirements & Development Oversight
Translate business needs into clear product requirements, well-crafted user stories, and acceptance criteria. Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle using agile methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Quality Assurance & Testing
Partner with solution and QA teams to define test strategies—particularly for Change Job, Termination, and other core data change scenarios—and support testing efforts to ensure the reliability and performance of product releases.
Stakeholder Engagement & Product Evangelism
Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for your products. Communicate the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition to stakeholders and end-users.
User-Centric Design & Feedback Loops
Engage with users to gather insights, validate solutions, and drive continuous improvement through iterative feedback and data-driven decision-making.
Training & Change Enablement
Collaborate with change management teams to develop training materials, user guides, and communication plans that support adoption and maximize product value.
Security & Integrations Awareness
Work with security and integration teams to understand the downstream and upstream impact of Core HCM changes (e.g., Change Job, Termination, data changes) on business process security, access, and integrations, ensuring product decisions account for these implications.
Process
Process Design & Documentation
Conduct comprehensive assessments of current Hire to Retire processes (excluding Hire), particularly Change Job, Termination, and related data management workflows, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Develop, implement, and maintain process documentation and guidelines, ensuring these are scalable and adaptable across regions and business units, and are clearly reflected in the supporting Workday configuration.
Process Standardization
Develop and maintain global standards for Change Job, Termination, and data management processes to enable consistency and compliance across all regions.
Conduct regular checks to identify variances and areas for optimization, and facilitate the sharing of best practices across regions.
Process Simplification & Automation
Use data-driven insight (including process mining where available) to identify complex, redundant, or unnecessary steps in Change Job, Termination, and data management processes, and redesign them to remove bottlenecks and reduce errors.
Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and evaluate technology solutions that streamline processes and enhance the employee and HR user experience.
Continuous Improvement
Implement continuous improvement initiatives—drawing on methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen where relevant—and define metrics and KPIs to measure process performance and track progress.
Change Management & Compliance
Lead process change management activities tied to product releases, including training, documentation, and progress monitoring.
Ensure Change Job, Termination, and data management processes comply with relevant data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements; support audits and help implement corrective actions where gaps are identified.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
Minimum 7 years of experience as a Digital or Software Product Manager and/or Process Owner in the HR Technology domain.
Deep, hands-on expertise in Workday Core HCM, with demonstrated strong expertise in the Change Job business process specifically; solid working knowledge of Termination and data management processes.
Broad working knowledge of Workday more generally, with the ability to understand how Core HCM changes interact with other modules.
Working knowledge of Workday security (e.g., domain and business process security) and integrations, sufficient to identify downstream impacts and collaborate effectively with specialist teams.
Strong understanding of HR processes and systems in large, global, and matrixed organizations, including the wider Hire to Retire lifecycle.
Strong experience working with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira (or similar), including facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Demonstrated strength in crafting clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria.
Experience in process design, standardization, and continuous improvement; familiarity with methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to develop business cases for automation and process improvements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience working with industrial or frontline organizations (e.g., retail, manufacturing, logistics) is a plus.
Passion for innovation and driving meaningful change in the HR tech landscape.
