About the role

The Contract Administrator, Procurement will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of procurement contracts from award to closeout, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. This role is critical to maintaining contractual integrity, mitigating risk, and enabling timely delivery of goods and services for nuclear deployment projects. 

 

Responsibilities

Contract Administration 

  • Administer procurement contracts and purchase orders from award through closeout. 
  • Ensure purchased materials, equipment, and services meet all procurement document requirements. 
  • Manage contract modifications, change orders, and scope adjustments. 
  • Track and document contract deliverables, milestones, and compliance requirements. 
  • Support budget tracking and invoice reconciliation against contract terms. 

Procurement Document Control 

  • Prepare and review procurement documents to ensure technical and quality requirements are clearly defined. 
  • Verify procurement documents invoke applicable codes, standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements, including 10 CFR Part 21. 
  • Maintain complete procurement documentation, including specifications, purchase orders, approved changes, waivers, and deviations. 
  • Ensure full traceability for all procurement activities. 
  • Maintain document version control and audit trails using contract lifecycle management (CLM systems)

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers on contract-related matters. 
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and project teams to clarify requirements. 
  • Support supplier onboarding and contract award processes. 
  • Facilitate resolution of contract disputes and issues. 
  • Draft and distribute meeting notes and action items from vendor and stakeholder coordination meetings to ensure accountability and follow-through. 
  • Track vendor performance and delivery metrics to support sourcing and renewal decisions. 

Compliance & Quality Assurance 

  • Verify procurement, inspection, and test requirements are satisfied before items are placed in service. 
  • Support quality assurance reviews of procurement documents prior to contract award. 
  • Ensure contracts include necessary technical and administrative requirements to meet QA program standards. 
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement and contract files. 
  • Escalate non-conformances, deviations, or waivers to the appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution. 

 

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 3–5 years of contract administration or procurement experience, preferably on nuclear, energy, or other regulated large capital projects. 
  • Familiarity with nuclear quality requirements (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1) or comparable regulated quality programs, or readiness to develop it quickly. 
  • Strong understanding of contract terms, conditions, and commercial practices. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.

Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $88,000- $109,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
